The submission of information is voluntary, and the selected artists will be contacted by the Researcher/Archivist, Luz Sierra, archives(at)surgallery.ca. The final archive will be published on our website once the project is completed.
Our objective is to lay out the foundation of a Latin American/Latinx visual arts history through an archival collection. The database will aid scholars, students, artists, museums, and other institutions to engage in research, learn, and connect with the Latin American and Latinx arts community.
Sur Gallery and LACAP’s mission is to continue to extend spaces and platforms for the reception of the Latin American and Latinx community. The Artist Archive project is to make accessible an archival digital platform to allow for searchability and make discoverable the Latinx visual art legacy in Canada.
