Sur Gallery invited submissions from emerging artist and curators of Latin American descent who would like to participate in Sur Gallery’s Mentorship Program. We encouraged post-secondary students and recent graduates to send their submissions for the chance to be part of our program, where 6-8 mentees were selected to receive professional development instruction and skills to further expand their knowledge of how the industry operates. The program included lectures and workshops with invited guests at the gallery’s space, as well as field trips to other galleries, artist-run centres and art institutions within the GTA.
